GIGI Jackson

Photographer, Filmmaker & Creative Director Based in NYC

I didn’t grow up dreaming of being a photographer. I grew up wanting to tell stories and for a long time I thought that meant screenwriting, television, and a stable, yet creative 9–5.

Today, I’m a New York–based photographer, filmmaker and creative director working with founders, couples, and brands who care about meaning just as much as aesthetics. Clients who want visuals that actually reflect who they are and what they’re building.

I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and spent most of my childhood with a camera nearby. I studied film at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, with a focus on screenwriting, structure, and story. I truly thought my future would live in the film and television world.

After college (and a brief corporate chapter), I began taking on creative projects, first through video, then through photography. What started as occasional shoots quickly turned into consistent work, and eventually, a business.

Lens of Her was officially born and I couldn’t be happier to work in a space where storytelling and visuals could grow together.

How it started (and how it evolved)

The Work Today

My work now spans personal branding, commercial campaigns, and intimate love stories all approached with the same lens: story first.

Over the years, I’ve worked with both emerging brands and nationally recognized companies, contributing to campaigns, events, and editorial-style projects that focus on my strengths while also allowing me to develop amazing relationships.

Whether I’m photographing a founder, a wedding day, or a brand moment, the goal is always the same: to connect first, then create visuals that reflect that story.
